DO NOT CALL REGISTER

We are a market and social research company and are not covered by the Australian Do Not Call Register because we are not selling a product, your participation in a survey is always voluntary, and we will not provide your name or contact information to any other parties unless you ask us to and authorise us to do this. Some people do not wish to participate in any surveys, and to respect that point of view we have developed our own internal do not call register. We will add you to that if you ask us to by contacting us or ask us to when we contact you. If you are added to the Wallis do not call register, Wallis will not contact you again for any research that we are conducting, even if your name is on a listing supplied to us by a company whose service you use. However, being on our do not call register does not preclude you from being contacted by other research agencies.

The phone numbers we dial are:

  • Generated randomly by computer
  • Chosen at random from available telephone directories, or
  • Given to us securely by our clients

Wherever possible we will send you a letter with details about the study. This will always have our address and/or that of our clients on it.  Our street address is 118 Balmain Street, Cremorne, Victoria, 3121.

Protecting your data and your privacy is extremely important to us

In 2018 the law changed to make it compulsory for any companies that mishandle personal information to tell the people affected and in serious cases to report this to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

Wallis goes one step further and guarantees that it will tell any organisation or individual if it has mishandled their data – this includes business information (not covered by law). We introduced mandatory reporting in 2015. Wallis is a member of the Association of Market and Social Research Organisations (AMSRO). We are bound to comply with even stricter legislation than the Privacy Act (1988) and members also guarantee that they are quality certified and working to the industry’s Code of Professional Behaviour.
